As a requirement anyone in a work based situation should be trained in the use of the Epi Pen when it has been identified that an individual is a user and suffers from anaphalaxis

 

Entry Qualifications

None required, however in work based scenarios ideally a qualified, current first aid trained member of staff

 

Course Programme

Understanding what is an allergic reaction

Identifying early warning signs and symptoms

Identify what may cause an allergic reaction

How to treat allergic reactions

Developing a care plan

Be able to use an Epi Pen or Anapen when required

Practice the use of an Epi and Anapen

Treatment of unconcious casualty

Resusitation

 

Time: 3 Hour maximum

 

Cost £50 for first person then £5 per additional person

9 to a maximum of 12 larger groups please ring

 

Certification

A certificate of attendance will be issued to all successful delegates valid for 12 months

This course is offered in-house or at my training premises. It will require the provision of a suitably sized room to allow all candidates adequate space to do the practice sessions.
