My aim is to explain in clear and concise terms the following:

- The financial and health cost to both the employee and employer of injury caused by incorrect manual handling.
- The role of the employee and employer
- An explanation of the medical, physical and psychological damage that can be caused through incorrect manual handling.
- Types of back injury including case studies.
- Lifting and handling risk factors and assessment including case studies.
- Techniques for correct handling and lifting.
- Solutions and alternatives to typical manual handling problems.
- The importance of machinery and its maintenance in reducing risk.
- The delegates are requested to complete a short test paper.
This course is normally 4 hours but with a small number is reduced considerably due to reduction in the number of questions asked and their overall participation. All I would need is a small room and access to electricity for PowerPoint presentation.
I am able to keep my costs much lower than other companies as I do not contract out work or have to rent my own premises, these reduced costs are always passed on.
