Play Ground First Aid This course is designed for low risk environments school environment to cater for injuries and illness that are likely to occur to young people. This certificate aims to provide delegates with basic theoretical and practical skills in current first aid. It is designed for employers who wish to provide the highest standard of first aid care to school children in a playground setting.
Course Syllabus
Delegates will receive range of suitable first aid subjects including:
- Aims and principles of first aid
- What to do in an emergency
- Identify and treat shock
- Asphyxia - care of a choking casualty
- Recovery Position
- Head injuries
Course Duration
The course is of 2 hours duration.
Course Outcome
Successful completion of the course qualifies the holder to act as a First Aider in the playground. The certificate is valid for three years from the date of issue.
In-House Courses at your Premises
This course may be delivered at your premises for any size groups of delegates. This option enables the course to be run on dates of your choice and with the content related specifically to your area of responsibility.
This can be amalgamated with the Appointed Person Course to provide a greater response to a medical emergency in schools by Teachers and Support Staff Total Cost per Session
