First Aid For ALL Sports: Track; Field and Water events
This course is designed for low risk environments where there is no requirement for a First Aid person to be present. However, the risks of minor and serious injuries are still possible because of the nature of the sport. This certificate of attendance aims to provide delegates with basic theoretical and practical skills in current first aid. It is designed for adults who support children and adults in their sporting activities.
Course Syllabus
Delegates will receive range of suitable first aid subjects including:
- Aims and principles of first aid
- What to do in an emergency
- Recognition of emergency illness
- Asphyxia - care of a choking casualty
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for Babies/Children/Adults
- Assessment and treatment bleeding and shock
- Assessment and treatment of fractures
- Concussion and Compression
- Dressings
- The first aid box and accident book
Course Duration
The course is of 4 hours duration
Course Outcome
Successful completion of the course qualifies the holder to provide First Aid whilst awaiting the attendance of an ambulance or other qualified person. The certificate is issued for three years from the date of issue, and delegates are strongly recommended to attend refresher training in order to maintain the skills learnt and to keep up to date with changes in protocols.

This course may be delivered at your premises for any size groups of delegates. This option enables the course to be run on dates of your choice and with the content related specifically to your area of responsibility.

£30 per person (small groups minimum number charged is for 5 delegates per course)
